I’m devoting 2009 to learning Permaculture. I have done courses with both of the co-originators of Permaculture – “Advanced Permaculture Principles and Planning Tools” with David Holmgren and a “Permaculture Design Course” with Bill Mollison.

I’m doing an “All Seasons Permaculture Design Course” (ASPDC) in Ballarat this year. Why do a second PDC? Because the first one I did was a two week intensive, with no practical component, or time to digest what I’d learnt. The ASPDC runs for one weekend a month for one seasonal cycle – Mar 2009 to Mar 2010. It will include presenters from all over this region including David Arnold, Rick Coleman, John Ditchburn, Graeme George, David Holmgren, Ian Lillington, Beck Lowe and Virginia Solomon.

My intention is to go wwoofing on the weeks in between the course weekends. This blog is to document my year, the experiences I have wwoofing and hopefully share what I learn with people!
